Apparently, “scientists” have determined that sarcasm is an evolutionary survival skill. Now, why they needed to take time out of looking for something practical, I don’t know (or why we call such folks “scientists” in the first place…)
But hey, apparently my ancestors passed on serious survival skills to me…

It figures that God made sarcasm, and I suppose ha-satan used it to his advantage …
‘Yea, hath God said: Ye shall not eat of any tree of the garden?’
‘Ye shall not surely die; for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as God, knowing good and evil.’
Sarcasm, cynicism, humor, and generally keeping a healthy buffer zone is essential to keep from going what’s the technical term…oh yes…nuts! People who are always repulsively serious about everything (some calvinists) bring out my best sarcasm!
