OK – so I have a moral dilemma.
It involves my walking lunches to Circle Center on the infamous “Chicken Loop”.
For the uninitiated, the “Chicken Loop” is this – two or three times a week I go walking (sometimes with a colleague) on a 2.5 mile walk from work down to Circle Center. There, we enter Nordstrom’s, go up to the food court and circle through to get the free chicken samples before walking back to work.
Mind you, we never actually BUY any chucken, though sometimes we buy a drink from one of the sampling establishments.
It’s 2 ounces of chicken and 2.5 miles – great for my Atkins diet, but a dilemma has arisen this week.
Normally, we’ve made a rule that you can’t circle twice through the court, as that would be taking advantage of the hospitality (in a bad way). However, this week I was in a Six Sigma class and an old friend made me face an underlying issue.
Should I even be circling once? Is that, in itself, shaky?
So – to sample or not to sample?
I say yes, but tenatively…
Any opinions?
